These
bread freezer recipes, shares with you some recipes for making
quick breads, bread doughs and ideas of what to use your freezer bread

You can buy
frozen bread dough or
you can make your own dough. If preparing homemade dough, let rise the
first time. After that punch the dough down and separate into portions
you'd like to use. Place in a ziploc bag and freeze. When you are ready
to use the dough take out of the freezer overnight and use in your
recipe.

Bread Freezer Recipes
Quick breads and muffins also freeze well. Slice a loaf of quick bread
and store in sandwich bags for a kids snack or lunch. All of these
bread freezer recipes are once I've used many times at my own house. Zucchini
Bread or Muffins
2 Cups grated or pureed zucchini 3 eggs
2 Cups sugar
1 Cup oil 3 teaspoons Vanilla 2 Cups white
flour
1 1/2 cups wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 3 teaspoon
cinnamon In a mixing bowl,
add grated zucchini, eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla. Blend together. Add
in flours, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Mix together.
Cook in greased bread loaves, mini loaves or muffins. Bake in 350
degrees until
toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool and freeze
in freezer bags.Banana
Bread with Chocolate Chips 3/4
Cup white sugar 3/4 Cup brown sugar 3/4 Cup
shortening 4 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 4
mashed bananas 1/2
teaspoon soda 2 Cups white flour 1 1/2 cups wheat
flour 1 teaspoon salt 1
Cup chocolate chips (optional) Mash bananas and add baking
soda, set aside. In mixing bowl blend sugars, shortening, eggs, vanilla
and salt. Blend in flours and banana mixture in mixing bowl.
Blend until well combined. Add in chocolate chips and stir. Pour in
greased
loaf pan or muffins and bake in a 350 degree oven. Allow to cool and
freeze in freezer bags. Carrot
Pineapple Bread 1
teaspoon
ginger
3
eggs
1 cup vegetable
oil
1 1/2 cups
sugar
2 cups carrots,
shredded
8-ounce can crushed pineapple, drained 1
1/2 cup white
flour
1 1/2 cup wheat flour 1/2 teaspoon baking
powder 1 teaspoon baking
soda
1 teaspoon
salt
1/2 cup
raisins
In a mixing bowl blend eggs, oil, sugar, ginger, carrots and
pineapple. Blend in flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir
in raisins and pour into greased loaf pans or muffin cups. Bake at 350
degrees about 45-50 minutes if cooking a loaf or 15-20 minutes for
muffin cups.

to use Bread Dough
- Shape
into rolls
- Make stromboli. Pizza or ham and cheese
stromboli is made but rolling out dough into a rectangle, adding
toppings and
rolling up jelly roll style.
- Form breadsticks,
place on cookie sheet and sprinkle
with garlic salt or Parmesan cheese, if desired.
- Bubble
bread. Roll small balls into sugar cinnamon mixture and place in a
greased tube pan. Or try rolling in parmesan cheese and Italian
seasoning for a more savory dish.
- Create an after
dinner or breakfast sweet rolls or cinnamon rolls.
- Fresh
loaves of bread are wonderful as a side to your main dish or for
homemade sandwiches.
- Fry a flat piece of bread
dough for Indian tacos or top with honey.
- Create
soft pretzels or bagels.
- Bread bowls for soup.
- Try
stuffed chicken rolls or hamburger
rolls.
Basic
Bread Dough Recipe
This is a large batch of
bread dough
that will make about 4 loaves of bread. This bread freezer recipe is
perfect for freezing bread
dough or baking and storing baked bread in the freezer.
2 Tablespoons yeast
1/2 Cup warm water
In a measuring cup mix
yeast with warm
water. Add a pinch of sugar. Let sit while you prepare the following.
4 Cups warm water
1/2 Cup oil
2 Tablespoon salt
2/3 Cup honey or brown sugar
In mixing bowl add warm
water, oil,
salt and honey or brown sugar. Mix yeast in. Start with adding 4-5
Cups whole wheat flour to mixture. Blend together. You will need a
total of 6 Cups wheat flour and 2 Cups white flour. Add remaining flour
1 cup at a time. Knead dough
several minutes.
Add 1 tablespoon oil in a large
bowl and add bread
dough. Cover and let rise until doubles. Separate into 4 parts and
freeze in freezer bags. When ready to use take out of freezer the
night before. Bring to room temperature and let rise again. Shape as
desired and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
Italian
Herb Bread Freezer Recipe 1 1/3 cups
warm water 2
Tablespoons
yeast 3 tablespoons powdered
milk 1 1/2 teaspoons
salt 3 tablespoons
sugar 3 tablespoons
shortening 2 1/2 cups white flour 1 1/4 cups wheat
flour 3 teaspoons Italian
seasoning
In a small bowl or glass measuring cup warm water until
lukewarm. Add yeast and a pinch of sugar. Set aside. In mixing bowl add
milk, salt, sugar, shortening and flours. Blend together. Add yeast
mixture and Italian seasoning. Take out of mixing bowl and knead
several minutes. Cover and let rise in warm spot.
If
freezing dough
place in freezer bag and freeze. When ready to use take out the night
before and place in fridge. Otherwise shape into rolls or bread loaves
and allow to rise again about 30 minutes. Bake in a 350 degree oven
until golden brown.
