Crock Pot Freezer Meals

Please send in your favorite crock pot freezer meals recipe below.

The Crock Pot is the best time saving kitchen appliance. So when you put freezer meals and the crockpot together you are sure to make dinner quick and easy.

Ideas for using your Crock Pot for freezer meals

  • You can buy cuts of meat that can be frozen and placed in the crock pot. Unthaw a day or overnight is recommended otherwise the frozen chunk of meat may not fit in the crockpot. Meat such as pork or beef roast or brisket, roast chicken, pork chops, ribs are all great for the crock pot. You can add seasoning or a sauce and let it cook throughout the day.

  • Depending on your size of crock pot even a roast chicken can be cooked in the crock pot and it turns out tender so much so the meat will just fall off the bone. Add cut potatoes, carrots, turnips to the meat and they will cook nicely. If you'd like to add soft vegetables (zucchini or fresh green beans, for example) or canned vegetables add this about 30 minutes before dinner time. Cooking them in the crock pot all day will make the vegetables too mushy.

  • You can make and freeze soup ingredients all together and pour into a bag. Freeze. Unthaw overnight when ready and pour into crockpot the next morning. Let cook through the day. Minestrone soups or Chili would be great for this as they freeze well.

The Crock Pot can be used for Side Dishes, too

If you have your main dish planned out and you need a side dish. The crock pot can come in handy for this also. Try baked potatoes in the crockpot. In the morning wash and scrub potatoes clean and rub with butter. Place in the crock pot and cook on low throughout the day.
