Hamburger Freezer Dinner Recipe



Hamburger freezer dinner recipes could include full meals with ground hamburger or you can freeze already cooked ground hamburger to create a new meal. For example, if you buy 2 lbs of ground hamburger you can brown your hamburger with a chopped onion, season with salt and pepper and allow to cool. Freeze cooked hamburger portions in freezer bags.

Use cooked hamburger for:

  1. Tacos, tostados, taco salad, nachos
  2. Make a quick chili
  3. Add to soups
  4. Add in to spaghetti sauce
  5. Add to baked beans

Barbecue Meatballs
1 egg, beaten
1/3 Cup milk
1/4 cup Barbecue sauce
¼ Cup crushed stuffing
1 Tablespoon onion soup mix or dried onions
1 1/4 lbs. Ground beef
Combine all ingredients together and shape into meatballs. Flash freeze on cookie sheet then add to a Ziploc bag. When ready to bake, cook at 350 degrees until done about 30 minutes depending on size. Serve with cooked noodles or with a fresh vegetable on the side.

Bacon Swiss Meatloaf
1 bacon strip, crumbled
1 egg, beaten
1/3 Cup butter crackers crushed
5 Tablespoons shredded Swiss cheese
4 ½ teaspoons chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
¼ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
½ lb. Ground beef
In bowl combine egg, crackers, 4 Tablespoons shredded cheese, chopped onion, garlic, bacon, salt and pepper. Add beef into mixture and combine. Shape into loaf and freeze wrapped in tin foil or in a ziploc bag. When ready to cook take out of the freezer and place in a loaf pan. Top with more bacon pieces if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes- 1 hour. Test with a meat thermometer.

Hamburger rolls
Bread dough or frozen bread rolls
1 lb. ground hamburger
Salt and pepper
1 onion, chopped
shredded cabbage, optional
Brown hamburger with chopped onion in a skillet until browned. Season with salt and pepper and drain. Stir in uncooked shredded cabbage. If using bread dough form into small balls. Roll out balls of dough into small circles and place 1-2 Tablespoons of beef mixture in the middle. Gather ends and press together. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
**If using bread dough you will have some bread left over to make rolls or a loaf of bread that can be frozen for another meal.

Easy Freezer Dinner Recipe: Hamburger Patties
Form ground hamburger into patties and sprinkle with seasoning salt and pepper. Place sheets of wax paper between each patty. Place in a ziploc bag and freeze. When ready for dinner unthaw several hours or overnight and grill.

Basic Meatloaf
2 eggs
1 Cup milk
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
3 teaspoon seasoning salt
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 lb. ground hamburger
Place all ingredients together in bowl and using your hands, combine  together. In a loaf pan, layer a sheet of tin foil with excess over the edges. Form meat into loaves and place in pan on top of tin foil. Fold edges over and wrap again with tin foil if desired. Continue with all meat. Freeze.  When ready place meatloaf from freezer to oven and bake 1 hour -1 1/2 hours.

Easy Mini Meatball Muffins
For a quick way to make mini meatballs. Make your favorite or the basic meatloaf recipe above, roll into balls and place in mini muffin tins or regular size works for larger meatballs. Cook for 13-20 minutes, depending on the size, or until done. Flash freeze and place in freezer bag. When ready to eat warm up in oven or microwave in a safe dish.
