Microwave Mushrooms Patties

1/4 C of cornstarch
2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans of condensed beef consomme
1 (6 oz.) jar of sliced mushrooms
4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dried basil
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 C of bread crumbs
1 onion, chopped fine
1/2 tsp season salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef

How to Make It:

Whisk the cornstarch and consomme together in a bowl until smooth.
Mix in the mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce and basil until blended in well.
Mix together the egg, bread crumbs, onion, salt and pepper in a separate bowl.
Add the ground beef and mix with your hands until well combined.
Form the mixture into 6 oval patties.
Place the patties in a shallow 1 1/2 qt. microwave safe dish and cover the dish.
Microwave the meat on high for 6 minutes.
Drain the patties and move the center patties to the outside and the outside patties to the inside of the dish.
Pour the consomme mixture over all the patties and recover the dish.
Microwave on high for 10 minutes or until the meat is cooked through.

Makes 6 servings

Dinner doesn’t get any easier than this. Serve these tasty patties with mashed potatoes or a side of noodles topped with a little mushroom gravy.
